About Wayne Fagan
Wayne I. Fagan entered the private practice of law in 1969 and began his aviation practice in 1970 when he was first retained to represent The Dee Howard Co. (DHC). Mr. Fagan represented DHC as outside general counsel from 1970 to 1987 when he became a full time employee and Senior Vice President, Secretary and General Counsel of DHC until January 1990 when he returned to the private sector to focus on his academic interests , representing clients in international business transactions and aviation matters, and as both a neutral and as an advocate in alternative dispute resolution.
In his international practice, Mr. Fagan has advised US companies(small,medium and large) and individuals in negotiations with foreign governments and with companies in and from the Middle East, Western and Eastern Europe, Canada, Mexico, Central and South America, and in the Pacific Rim and has advised clients from those regions on doing business in or with the US.
In his ADR practice, Mr. Fagan has served as an advocate, settlement counsel, and as a neutral (both arbitrator and mediator) in both domestic and international disputes involving general business disputes, aviation manufacturing and license disputes, technology disputes, partnership / joint venture/shareholder disputes,personal injury/death cases,and family inheritance disputes. Mr. Fagan has served as sole arbitrator, party appointed arbitrator, and chair in both administered arbitrations under the auspices of the AAA, ICDR, and ICC and ad hoc proceedings pursuant to the UNCITRAL Rules and the CPR Rules for Non-Administered cases.
Mr.Fagan has acheived the Martindale-Hubbell AV Preeminent peer review rating and was selected by American Lawyer Media and Martindale-Hubbell as a 2013 Top Rated Lawyer in International Law & International Trade.
